Sometimes ignorance is bliss because these past 3 days of being informed has been exhausting and I wish I could be blissfully ignorant but no I chose to be someone who stays informed

I also strongly believe that they just grew up religious and have never actually taken the time to take a step back and maybe think critically about how their beliefs they grow up with actually affect the world around them

Make yourself look like a better Christian instead of ya know just doing the basic type of things like loving your neighbor or whatever the bible/commandments said. So while I do believe a lot of people think they’re doing well when they support mission trips or other religiously rooted things

Fun fact; I took a class today to learn how to better support people having mental health crises and how to recognize the sign and symptoms of a mental health crisis in a person and it was really amazing but it’s sad how many people are not educated in this sort of thing simply bc of stigmas

Didn’t even think about that part but I will say, people of the church do love to use underdeveloped countries and their issues to their advantage in the name of being a good Christian soooo I’m not entirely surprised
