Oh yeah the north east has better train systems than the rest of us

On the west coast we are still using train sets from the 80s. It maybe all antiquated but I still love riding Amtrak whenever I can.

I recommend the Coast Starlight although high chance your train will break a few times xD

I just really blame our car centric country, and automobile industry we can't eat go of.

It's just all so inefficient

We literally cannot get our shit together to make even one real high speed train in California for 15 years

Then only the east coast has some high speed rail but it doesn't even get close to these speeds.

Guh imagine amtrak actually being faster than the freeway

We are leaving all the cars in the dust

Also I spent 2 hours yesterday on LA Metro to get from my house to LAX that is only about 20 miles

In 50 mins I am going to go 90 miles then swap to a local line to get to my parents village for 30 mins

Like it's just kinda embarrassing how far American trains are

Damn.... These are a lot nicer than Amtrak haha

Yeah haha I took the metro to avoid the traffic and not have someone else have to trudge through it both ways to drop me off. Lax is certainly magical in its construction
