Well shit the tube killed it's self. I cut pas the bad part of the wires and powered it up. When it reached full power the high voltage arched to the input wire and kill it's self :/ Can't fix every thing. (The red line shows the path the arc took) Oh well
I need to cut into the side and expose new copper to solder to. This should be interesting.....

I got the night vison device apart! It was easier than I expected and thankfully it was not glued. The good news is the tube works. (that part is unreplaceable), the bad news is the wires on it are bad and only works when pulled a certain way....

Todays patient on the bench is a soviet night vison monocular. This is a higher quality unit than most but it only works when it's shaken jussst right. I'm going to see if there is anything inside that I can fix.
