People dont understand why something is exciting to me the way people who frequently interact with kids do. As well as that, doing anything "traditionally female coded" is devalued as fuck in queer spaces. Don't act like it's not.

I count myself wildly lucky that I now am getting to know some queer parents, but I live in fucking Somerville. I have it easy. I HAVE support, and yet the truth that I'm the only one in the room with a kid in the places I call home..man it sucks.

...which is that being queer and having a family is isolating. There's either people having 5 kids and worshipping Christ and pickup trucks, or like... Idk, Cis People I Guess.

Womens Day makes me think. And I need to share that while pregnant, I experienced hostility toward me -about- my pregnancy, in my community. It was terrible and hurtful. But more importantly than the occasion was the awakening to a realization...
