There Is No Bodily Autonomy Without Defunding ICE — Lawyers for Good Government Bodily autonomy, the fundamental right to make decisions about one’s own body without coercion or harm, and health equity, the principle that everyone is able to attain their full potential for health...

Bodily autonomy requires freedom from state violence.

73k people in ICE detention. Pregnant women held despite policy. 32 deaths this year connected to medical neglect.

This is why L4GG joined 1,000+ orgs demanding Congress defund ICE. Read our latest blog post and take action: L4GG.org/DefundICE

Fear of ICE is keeping pregnant immigrants in Minnesota from critical care Health care providers in Minnesota said pregnant patients are having more complications linked to stress. But fear of immigration agents is keeping them from prenatal care.

Citing fear of ICE, pregnant immigrants in Minnesota are

-skipping prenatal care
-requesting home births, even when not medically advised
-going w/o adequate food

Many are experiencing complications providers say can be stress-onset: diabetes, high blood pressure, and even water breaking early

In Huge Lawsuit, Six CHLA Families Successfully Prevented The Trump Admin From Obtaining Info Of 3,000 Trans Kids Legal documents outline the impossible choices faced by families attacked by the Trump regime and stonewalled by CHLA—and how lawyers stepped up to stop them.

Call for Participation — Special Issue on Gender, Sexuality, and the Law
Published by NLG Review: A Social Justice Law Journal

The NLG Review is now accepting submissions for a forthcoming special issue focused on gender, sexuality, and the law. We invite contributions from legal workers, movement organizers, attorneys, legal scholars, law students, and other community-based legal advocates whose work explores the complex and often contested intersections of the law, bodies, sexuality, and gender.
This special issue interrogates the role of law in constructing and policing gender and sexuality, alongside queer and trans resistance to these legal regimes and efforts to reimagine their boundaries.

We welcome critical and intersectional analyses, personal and political reflections, and work grounded in organizing and collective struggle. Submissions may engage with (but are not limited to) the following themes:
•	The rise and impact of anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ legislation and litigation
•	Criminalization, surveillance, and regulation of queer and trans bodies
•	Intersections of gender and sexuality with race, class, disability, and immigration status
•	Queer and trans participation in broader social justice movements
•	Community lawyering and movement strategies in LGBTQ advocacy
•	Queer critiques of mainstream legal advocacy
•	Harm reduction, mutual aid, and transformative justice beyond the legal system
•	Reproductive justice and health equity in queer and trans communities
•	Legal and extralegal resistance by Black, Brown, Indigenous, and other queer and trans communities of color
•	Abolitionist and anti-carceral approaches to gender and sexual liberation
•	Histories and futures of queer legal resistance, mutual aid, and solidarity

We accept articles, essays, case notes, legal commentary, book and media reviews, artwork, and interviews that engage with these and related topics.

To all the young people in New York and across our country who count on gender-affirming care:

I won't let this administration come for you, your doctors, or your lifesaving health care.

Your health care is still legal and protected.

I'll always fight for you.

🚨 US House of Representatives are voting on two anti-trans bills next week in an attempt to severely restrict gender affirming care for youth.

HR3492 would criminalize parents and providers charging them with felonies if they even attempt to access care.
