I'd love a link pls!
Disabled and neurodivergent folks have always made art, so when you use them as a shield to defend AI and say the βneedβ it, youβre an asshole on top of a thief. Hope that helps. Have a wonderful day!
When people ask "Where do you get your ideas" I can only think "You mean you don't have them pouring out of you at all times like some kind of creative postnasal drip?"
Repost w/ the five shows you would be happy to rewatch over and over again for the rest of your life, as your sole TV diet.

So pretty! It looks like a sunset.
Congrats!
They keep willfully misunderstanding the issue to confuse good people.
Trans people donβt think this series will be loaded with JKRβs bigotry. We KNOW the money from this series will be funneled by JKR directly into attacking the trans community in the media and courts.
Having a hard time editing my last manuscript, so I started a new one. (While still trying to edit the other one.) Idk why, but I'm so stuck on the first one. Maybe it needs more marinating time.
I see that Cemetery Dance is trending for being late with royalties and shitty to authors. I was around when Chizine went down in flames for similar reasons and let me remind authors that 1) a legit press does not do you a favor by publishing you 2) a press that is having severe money and systemic
Fellow authors, I love you, and I know it feels like we donβt have a choice, but B&N and Am*zon both scheduled sales this week to preempt Independent Bookstore Day, a hugely vital source of income for indie bookstores. Please donβt promote their sales; please promote your local indie this week.

Made this stegosaurus dino nugget yesterday! #crochet

This is an attack on the humanity of American citizens, declaring that some people's existence is a threat to kids.
But it's also a direct attack on the First Amendment as the government is attempting to regulate who is allowed to talk about their lives.
Call your senators and shut this shit down
Today's boycott is a warm up. It's an opportunity to find local alternatives and check out the library. Nobody thinks that today will solve everything. If you are loudly disparaging peoples efforts to act, you are officially part of the problem.
Post from mods of Reddit group r/ Albuquerque Community Safety Warning: February Protests A COMMUNITY SAFETY WARNING We have, within the past 2 days, received an influx of dozens of posts promoting protests/events occurring in early February. Common terms include "50 protests in 50 states" and "50501". A quick review reveals these to be extremely suspect for the following reasons: 1. All have been posted by new accounts, or accounts that have never/minimally been active in r/Albuquerque: 2. There are never any details issued other than brief "meet at the capitol, meet at city hall," etc. Information stated in text may conflict with that presented in graphics. No organizers, permits, speakers, etc. are ever mentioned. 3. Follow up questions (both in comments and Mod mail) are unanswered, aside from brief, cryptic comments like "you'll find out what we're planning when you get there." 4. Mentions of this event on other social media are overwhelmingly similarly faceless in nature (e.g, Al voice only, "I (new account) heard about this but I won't be able to go"). This is all extremely fishy and we ask you to please treat it with extreme caution. I've left one post up (and included with it this same safety warning). All further posts promoting this event will be removed.
I know everybodyβs activated and feeling helpless and looking for something to do, but *please* be careful about protests where you donβt know the organizers and arenβt seeing partnership with reputable local community organizations and leaders. Itβs a good way to end up in a really bad situation.
stopping the flow of HIV drugs to poor countries and demanding that foreign doctors stop distributing the meds already sitting in their clinics is so evil it is hard to wrap my head around. one day when when this is all history i will struggle to forgive anyone who voted for him
Mexico has launched an app for Mexican nationals in the U.S. (legally or no) that has an emergency button you can tap to alert the closest consulate if something happens or you feel in danger from immigration. Please share.
It's a bad time for trans people now, and it's a bad time for trans literature

In an interview with The Times, Kendall described the βculture of secrecyβ around Gaiman. βNeilβs works were his bait, and promotional events were his hunting ground,β she said. βAs long as his publishers and professional collaborators remain silent, Neil will continue to have unrestricted access to vulnerable women.β
From a new piece in the NYT. This is why I donβt have patience for his collaborators to βprocess,β especially since weβve already known for months. Itβs horrific that his agents continue to represent him and itβs horrific that his collaborators stay silent.
Everyone interacts with content notes differently but I just want to very explicitly say that I thought I had braced sufficiently for this & I am still regulating my very physical reactions to it. It's sickening; it's harrowing; it's excruciatingly well reported. But you don't *have* to read it.
If writing your/our queer little books wasn't important, they wouldn't be spending so much energy trying to ban them.
Make it queerer. Make it weirder. I love you all so much.
Speaking of shut the fuck up Friday, Iβve been seeing some people say that the FBI has contacted them for questioning after seeing social media posts, and my extremely urgent advice is that you should under NO CIRCUMSTANCES talk to the Feds without a lawyer.
Do not obey in advance. Resist. Do not offer an oppressive government what it wants. Do not anticipate its needs and offer up what you think it wants. To do so teaches power what it can do.

For some people, this is just an election. For others, itβs a constant reminder that roughly half the country hates you and wants to kick you out or take away your rights or considers you garbage.
Heads up, authors: if you're considering submitting to Hiraeth Publishing, Writer Beware has now heard from two authors whose stories were published without permission or a signed contract. I've also heard from authors who report never receiving royalties for published stories or chapbooks
writing is so funny itβs like βthis is my favorite thing to do in the world and my dreamβ βokay then do it right nowβ βno thanks I would rather do literally anything elseβ
Curious Tides by Pascale Lucelle! It's got a unique magic system, LGBT+ characters, and some twists that managed to shock me.
As someone who has been a huge Gaiman fan since Sandman #1 all I can say is GOOD.
I will never consume any of his products in any way if he gets any sort of benefit from said consumption, financial or otherwise.
People who don't want to work with / associate with him are perfectly correct.
