Okay, yeah, I see what all the fuss is about...
Okay, yeah, I see what all the fuss is about...
Right, let's see what all the fuss about Operation Mincemeat is about...
The front door of a barbershop, complete with price list. Haircuts start at $40
This might be a bit rich coming from me, but I reckon the scariest thing in the opening of Resident Evil Requiem is the price of a haircut...
Out into town to see Andy Zaltzman tonight. Cracking show and can't help but feel sorry for the person who has to pop out of the wings to fix a broken audio jack
A well-written book about (in my opinion) the greatest game ever made. Smashing to see it back out there for people to read who didn't get a chance last time. I'm due another playthrough soon so will be picking it up to see what's new.
HOT FUZZ scene. Pegg as a cop talking to some underage kids in a pub Whenβs your birthday? 22nd of February. What year? Every year.
Happy birthday to this young man, and really to us all
You had me at John Finnemore!
Just finished #Reanimal. Delightfully creepy, perfect for times like this where the nights are still long.
Just finished listening to this. The only 60s Irwin Allen I'd experienced before was Lost in Space and this certainly lives up to that. A wonderful cast, heartfelt stories and a fantastic pace. I have to agree with @twilightstreets.bsky.social in the BTS and say I'd love to hear more!
I've finally got round to submitting my new talk! Had a great time last year and really excited about what I've been working on for 2026.
There's still plenty of time to submit if you're thinking about doing it.

A large screen that says "Slapstick Festival: Heavenly Laughs: Charlie Chaplin and Harold Lloyd Double Bill"
First show at @slapstickfest.bsky.social for me. Two great films and a wonderful intro by @robinince.bsky.social and Paul McGann
It's time folks! Hope to see a good number of you there at the best free conference in the world!!
Slightly late to the party, but was the comedian @mrbasilpesto.bsky.social was talking about who did a bit about moving to Scotland Kieran Hodgson?
They've got a big yellow digger mounted on the tracks at the station for some maintenance work and let me tell you that the toddler watching clearly thinks this is the best thing ever
Me, coding a thing and ambiently chatting to a friend:
"I think I know what the issue is, and I think I know how to fix it"
Me, having tried thirty other "potentially better" solutions, three hours later:
"I should've done the thing I told you"
A Christmas Tree, lying on its side, on a street corner. A piece of tinsel runs from it to a nearby bollard, which it is wrapped around
Looks like the tree had a great Friday night down the pub...
Legitimately a great series!
Slightly late to the party, but I've finally got round to watching The Long Walk. I thoroughly enjoyed it, with another standout performance from David Jonsson.
Trees, clouds and a power line silhouetted against a sky that is amber at the horizon
The dawn of 2026

pound for pound this might be the funniest thing ever written
I no longer know what day of the week it is. I have achieved peak holiday
Nothing quite like getting to the supermarket super early on the 27th and getting first pickings of the cheap excess Christmas stock
And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, was present at the end of the universe, having witnessed every black hole evaporate and every proton decay. Even so, Death would not come.
Early morning idea: Sporklers
Acts as both a spoon and a sparkler. Incredibly dangerous, should not be invented
Just finished it off. Lovely little series, had me guessing all the way up to the end
Blimey, @kinmoku.bsky.social on both @indieventurepodcast.co.uk and @backpagepod.bsky.social this week. Taking that as a sign to finally get round to picking up VIDEOVERSE
Now that's something to look forward to!
A pair of electronic signs at a train station. The one on the left says that the 15:18 to Bristol Temple Meads is cancelled, while the one on the right says the 16:17 to Bristol Temple Meads is also cancelled
The joy of trying to use the trains!
