Research Culture: Why every lab needs a handbook
By explaining how a lab works, outlining what is expected of everyone, and describing the culture the lab is aiming for, a good lab handbook will benefit all the members of a research group.
We are currently writing up our lab handbook, which will eventually be made public. As a new PI, I can't stress enough how helpful it is to reflect on who you are as a lab, how you integrate new people, and what you aim for in day-to-day lab life.
Thanks to @elife.bsky.social for the inspiration!

Looking at some old documents, this popped out. So refreshing!
"Are theoretical results 'results'?"
Abstract: "Yes."

I found this one by Lizin et al very informative: www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
There’s a few more from Kessels that might be helpful.

If you are referring to DCEs might be worth it to start by reading some of the articles by Lancsar and Hole

what i missed most when i left econtwitter was a way to crowdsource...
I'm looking for a compelling multi-arm RCT where it was not obvious which treatment would work better or the answer is ex post surprising. goal is to show non-researchers that their priors can be wrong, using an A/B example. 📈📉
