Oak Beauty. #teammoth
Caterpillars on day 1 of hatching - Common Quaker.
The Common Quaker eggs have hatched. We have caterpillars. Very, very small caterpillars. #teammoth
Small Quaker and Hebrew Character made up the lion's share of last soir's actinic catch in Old Catton VC27. #teammoth
A small catch last soir, but this golden, glistening Common Quaker was a very nice little moth. #teammoth
Clouded Drab - shit name, great moth.
Best from hier soir were this pair of Clouded Drab. I'm a big fan. #teammoth
Small Quaker 12-13 mm
15/4 in VC27, including this cute Small Quaker - nfy. #teammoth
Eyes peeled.
A couple of pretty Dotted Border and my old friend le March Moth were the best of a 12/4 trap to actinic light in VC27, Norfolk. We're getting there. #teammoth #norfolkmoths
Looks very similar to the Diamond-back moth we get here in the UK and Europe (Plutella xylostella).
Β‘Que desastre! Hope it all works out ok, Dave. Β‘Suerte!
Four of a kind! Oak Beauty record smashed and another species on the year list. All came before 9pm and were on the fence or outside of the actinic trap. #teammoth #norfolkmoths
Clear skies, big moon, but 2 nfy Oak Beauty already in. Also, an early DS Pug. In it to win it...

Grey Shoulder-knot
Probs a re-catch, but still looking very fresh. Grey Shoulder-knot, VC27. #teammoth #norfolkmoths
Quite a chilly night in the Norfolk hood, so a modest 6/3 to actinic. Grey Shoulder-knot the highlight. Also surprised to see a Common Quaker lay a large batch of eggs in the pot. Normal or early? π€ #teammoth #norfolkmoths
Grey Shoulder-knot
Dotted Border
Despite plenty of the wet stuff, a commendable 12/6 #moths danced the light dance here in VC27. Nfy (and maybe g) was a box-fresh Grey Shoulder-knot. Also new was Pale Brindled Beauty, with a knackered wing, so here's the Dotted B instead. #teammoth #norfolkmoths
Wow.
Bloody Nora!
Sounds like the perfect year lies ahead.
Clouded Drab. Still a shit name.
Lower numbers aqui last soir, mostly Hebrew Ch. and Common Q. Howevs, this clonker of a Clouded Drab was nfy. #teamoth #norfolkmoths VC27
Dotted Border
Satellite
Hebrew Character
Beautiful Plume
Smashed into double figures, with 10/4 to actinic in Old Catton VC27 last eve. Dotted Border and Satellite were nfy from le trap. 7 Hebrew Character, looking very fresh. A Common Quaker & then 11th #moth, in the WC, Beautiful Plume. Photography skills are rusty. #teammoth #yearlist moves to 12.
That is definitely the best wind-breaking set-up of the year so far. Absolutely my style. Nice!
Smashing it out of the park!
Yes, looks very much like it. Nice!
March Moth
T.alternella
Hebrew Character
Common Quaker
Finalement, some moths! 7/5 on a mild but breezy eve in VC27. All but one chose the actinic over the MV. 4 nfy: March Moth, T.alternella, Hebrew Character and 3 Common Quaker. Phew. #teammoth
More lush pics - you always show your moths so beautifully π.
Fantastic news on the moth plank. Sets you up for the year πͺ.

We should see the 1st arrivals in the west tonight, however it's later in the period that looks most promising. There should be a direct airstream from N. Africa from Mon, with Tues & particularly Weds looking promising at this stage, when high concentrations of Saharan dust are possible. #teammoth
Noice
Two traps and not even one moth! Sir Terry working overtime last night π
