Looking forward to presenting my poster “Microbial diversity and biogeographic distribution of snow and ice of the Eastern Antarctic” (P012) next week at #MiM26 @microbiologysociety.org!

I’m so greatful to #PAM26 for the opportunity to present some of my work on identifying deep Antarctic subglacial populations. This was my first experience of an extended presentation, and a great first day. I’ll take away so much from this presentation and the conference as a whole.
I’m so very thankful and proud to have presented orally for the first time at #MMEG2025. A huge thank you to all those involved and @amiposts.bsky.social, it was a great conference and space to discuss all the exciting research in microbial ecology!
Day one was fascinating and I can’t wait for day two of #MMEG2025!
Over the next 3 months I'll be presenting at the Molecular Microbial Ecology Group meeting (Birmingham), 10th International Polar and Alpine Microbiology Conference (Copenhagen) and Microbes in Microbiomes. Please come and have a chat if interested in polar microbiology!
Happy Antarctica Day!
I’d like to thank the @ukpolarnetwork.bsky.social for running the PolarSTEP2025 course. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and gained a lot of insight into practical elements of polar science that I’ll take forward into my career.
A huge thank you to the organising committee (Joseph Paros, Georgia Stylianou, Samuel Rattray) for the opportunity yesterday. It was invaluable to my academic progression and I hope to present again in the future.
I’m very proud and excited to later present the keynote talk of the inaugural “Inside 112” series. This will give me the opportunity to present my work, discuss my PhD journey and give advice to other ECRs.
