If you need some cheering up, watch the first few moments of #StarfleetAcademy's "300th Night"β¬ οΈ and look for the Ferengi cadet performing Nog's Ferengi dance from #StarTrekDS9's "You Are Cordially Invited"β‘οΈ. This was completely improvised by the late great Aron Eisenberg - never forgotten!
A concept sketch of "Sisko's Bajoran Sailer" depicts a small spacecraft with several large, translucent tan sails radiating outward like wings against a black, starry backdrop.
A small, ornate spacecraft with several large, glowing orange solar sails resembling wings glides through the dark expanse of deep space.

An image of the comic book "Tales of the Frontier" on a computer screen in the episode "Come, Let's Away" from #StarfleetAcademy. (And that unrivaled element for anyone wondering. In my opinion, these are the strongest opening six episodes for any series in the history of Star Trek. Top to bottom.) Feel free to argue with me, but TOS had Mudd's Women, I won't even mention TNG's plethora of choices beneath these six, DS9 "A Man Alone," VGR "Time and Again" and "The Cloud," and ENT "Unexpected." In the new era DSC's "Butcher" is a tough, joyless watch, STX "Runaway" is super thin, PIC's "Maps and Legends" is a filler episode stretched to make the openers a three-parter; one of SNW's least popular episodes is "Lift Us Where Suffering Cannot Reach," and Prodigy's pairing of "Dreamcatcher" and "Terror Firma" are not highly rated. Similarily, Lower Decks' "Temporal Edict" is certainly not better than top tier LDS. Obviously your mileage may vary, but I'm prepared to argue that this six episodes are the best six-episode run for any Trek series ever at the start of Season 1.
My #StarfleetAcademy ranks for the first six amazing episodes of S1. (Keep in mind that I think "Vox in Excelso" is exceptional.) #SFA is doing something unrivaled in Trek history.

Was the Sutherland viewscreen even a full size build or a miniature like this Cardassian war room view screen?
Shoot one shot of Sutherland viewscreen model with an out of focus "Data" and chair in front, followed by another on its own.
Then use these shots as masks for the motion graphics.
Artwork for the 226th episode of TrekRanks featuring the "Top 5 Jeffrey Combs Moments." Images include the TrekRanks logo in the upper left corner and an image of Combs as Tiron in "Meridian," his first Trek appearance in the upper right corner (holding a glass). IN the bottom left corner is Brunt pointing back at the viewer (from "Body Parts"), and in the bottom right corner is Weyoun trying to fake smile in "Behind the Lines." The center art is an image of the megalomaniacal computer Agimus from Lower Decks with the title words in sharp yellow: "Top 5 Jeffrey Combs Moments." As always, to keep you guessing, remember that the episodes reflected in photos here include some choices that were featured in this episode of TrekRanks, some choices that were maybe mentioned in our "Secondary Systems" section of the show, and some choices that weren't mentioned at all.
NEW! We celebrate a legend this week on TrekRanks w/the βTop 5 Jeffrey Combs Moments.β No one is more revered in the #StarTrek fandom for their unique skills & broad range! (And perfect timing w/all the DS9 love right now.) Shran, Brunt, Weyoun? Take your pick!

Star Trek Enterprise scene. We're on ship and looking at Malcolm Reed in uniform, sitting, expounding, and probably eating pineapple held just off camera. Closed caption reads, "I'm afraid I don't much follow football, sir."

OTD, the #StarTrekTNG episode "Devil's Due" premiered. It was based on an idea that had come up during #StarTrekTOS in the 60s and again for the unproduced Star Trek: Phase II.
