Such a 'wrong' song. But yeah, I agree, Lesley Gore remains underrated, she's great.

NEW ALBUM OF THE DAY: 'These Frightening Machines' by Katherine Priddy. Here be all manner of delicate, literate Brit-folk loveliness.

If you haven't seen this mid-60s pop extravaganza before - a concert featuring performances from James Brown, The Rolling Stones, Marvin Gaye, The Beach Boys, The Supremes and more - then you're in for a treat.
Have a lovely day, everyone.
Happy #WorldBookDay, and in celebration, here is a picture of a book.
My book, in fact. I'm sure children everywhere are going to school dressed up as it.
BBC Four is repeating This Life to coincide with its 30th anniversary, beginning with a double bill on Wed 18 March with a new filmed intro from Daniela Nardini. #ThisLife

What is my crime? Being a spy? A succulent Chinese spy?
It really is, so much care has been taken over these recent Immediate reissues.
Just received a copy of this absolute beauty - a newly mastered vinyl edition of the Small Facesβ Ogdensβ Nut Gone Flake. It sounds fantastic. Ephemeral colour dreamy most.

Something utterly awful. Youβll find it with a search.
One of the projects you can support on Smelt is a new sitcom by me. It's called The Least Bad Of All Possible Worlds and it's about refugees from parallel universes trying to integrate into society in Morecambe. You can pledge to fund it here: if you fund it, we make it! mirlo.space/leadmojo/rel...
But we knew it was Cleese anyway. What a fucking prick.
This does at least provide a conclusive answer to the βWho is the worst surviving Python?β question.
Palin was never in the running, obviously. Heβs exempt. Cleese tops the chart, followed by Gilliam, and then Idle (who, despite his money-grabbing ways, actually seems quite sound opinions-wise).
I liked the way they used the farm as a symbolic representation of everything the film is basically about. That couldβve easily come across as heavy-handed, but I found it rather moving. A sanctuary, a retreat, and a memorial to Linda.

Amity Nocturne
Sadly not.
Watched 'Man on the Run', a probing two-hour documentary about the world's most understandably defensive weed enthusiast and his endless variety of alarming hair-dos. Would recommend.

82 today. Happy birthday Roger Daltrey.
First thing I did too.
It's very, very good.
NEW(ish) ALBUM OF THE DAY: 'Romantic Visions of Scotland' by Glasgow's very own The Just Joans. Every track a winner, baby, that's no lie.

MAGA gives off such incel energy. Might as well call it Operation She's Left Me Dave.
everything from the fit of the jacket to that head tilt as he says it is so completely Brass Eye i actually cannot cope
Terry, as you can see, is ecstatic that the Green Party won the by-election.
It can feel like everything is a political priority, but, without a planet that can sustain us, nothing actually matters.
