Dadβs books are full of empathy, common sense, and a healthy suspicion of the powerful. But at its heart his work is also about how systems keep people poor while pretending itβs their own fault. So I hope Kemiβs taking notes as well as reading the jokes.

Not having a go at this, as the rise of racism and the far right around east Liverpool is a huge problemβ¦.but the opposition in Knowsley is the Green Party, and their rise in one of the most deprived bits of the country is a genuinely untold story. Work needs doing in this!
Small cost involved to do that but I think this is the least I can do right? Now planning how to migrate a billion notes from apple to fairphone by 2027 πΆ
Having ditched Amazon earlier this year and drastically reduced my google use to work hours only (check out Ecosia instead) Iβve now migrated from Spotify to the far less evil Qobuz. It has all the tracks and I used an app called Soundiz to migrate my million playlists...
I bought too many books for my birthday but itβs an amazing list Iβm dead excited to read:

Delighted to see some organising on the left in party politics. Please please please find space in this new party for citizen assemblies or other forms of democratic deliberation. Legitimacy and relevance is very very important imho
Pink print of The Arts Emergency Manifesto with 11 points written alternatively in red and blue: 1. Be fearless. You are just as entitled as anyone to have the life you want. 2. There are things that are bigger and better than money. We have things that those in power will never understand. 3. We take it as a given that a civilised society values education, lifelong learning and creativity as a public good. 4. Fight the conditioning that tells you to demonise young people. 5. We are a social justice not social mobility organisation. Arts Emergency is no substitute for justice withheld. 6. To think creatively and critically is to free yourself from the limits of an unfair society puts on you. 7. There is no recession of the imagination. 8. The future is another place. Allow yourself to believe a better life is possible. Say it loud, defiantly, to everyone. 9. Be generous. Now be more generous. Share your privilege. 10. Do something. Start small, start local, keep going. 11. Optimism is a weapon and if all else fails be silly.
"What young people need now is not new schemes, itβs consistency, itβs someone they can trust enough with their best most aspirational self" - @njgriff.bsky.social AE CEO
Can you donate Β£2 a month to help keep our mentoring & community projects running?

Our privatised water system is broken - but water companies are doing everything they can to keep the Ponzi scheme staggering on.
A solution exists. Your MP needs to hear about it: actionnetwork.org/letters/ask-...
A red rectangle with bold white text reading 'Β£2'
We're asking people to commit to donating Β£2/month - hopefully something a good many people reading this post can consider... think of it as a long-term investment for a better brighter future and more inclusive creative culture. βοΈ

This story is so important. Black children are disproportionately treated as adults and rarely viewed as innocent victims. Child Q *a schoolgirl* was wrongly suspected, on her periods, and stripped by officers to her intimate parts without an appropriate adult present. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
