First book of the year finished and it's a belter. Probably missed some of the references and literary gags but made up for it by picking up the ATV, Crass and Poison Girls lines
Thrilled to hear you enjoyed it. Couldnβt help putting those references in!
Many of you will have seen this before but the first fiction i ever had in physical print was this xmas ghost story in 2022, republished the year after online w/thanks to @andrewgallix.bsky.social at the legendary 3:AM magazine ππ€

Thanks to Dennis Cooper for including Loren ipsum in his books of the year
Hereβs my review of @andrewgallix.bsky.socialβs wonderfully irreverent debut novel, Loren Ipsum, in the print edition of todayβs @theguardian.com
Delighted to announce that MALCβS BOY by Shaun Wilson will be @conduitbooks.bsky.socialβs first title! Coming April 2026.
Loren Ipsum uses a murder premise to satirize vanity, pretension, and performative culture among contemporary writers, critics, and literary scenesters.
Loren Ipsum by Andrew Gallix review β chronically funny satire of the literary scene
Destined, as they say, to become a cult classic.

You canβt imagine how happy this makes me!
Loren Ipsum is, by a wide margin, the most enjoyable novel I've read all year. Here's my review of @andrewgallix.bsky.social's mordantly witty debut in the Guardian. www.theguardian.com/books/2025/n...
Thanks so much, Dan!
Great review of @andrewgallix.bsky.social Loren Ipsum from @judecook.bsky.social

βIt is brimful with puns, literary references, and exuberant humour, some sophisticated, some Carry On double entendres. Its elective affinities are as much with Beerbohm and Waugh as with Joyce and Proustβ
