It's such a hostile takeover... You know when you look back at times as "The Great Depression"? Yeah. We're in one of those times now. We just haven't got through it, so it doesn't have a name.

What is readily made available by media, is the information that AI is progressing, and you should try it. What isn't made aware, is the amount of humans it is replacing, how much water it is depleting already waterless communities, and why you can't opt out of it.
I see a very realistic amount of time writing information down, prompting it, and waiting for a computer to reveal results. This is probably about the time where you would otherwise question your own morals, ethics and situation before coming to a conclusion. You learn from that. Not if the AI does.
Where is the study figuring out how much time humans are losing in actual physical life time by supplementing orders to AI instead of thinking for yourself? Has that very realistic (and probably dire) statistic been interesting so far? Before introducing AI into everything we know?
I also think it slowly eats away at your inner priorities - where do you value and place other beings rights to privacy, and where does the line go when speculating about other people's existence.
It's a mindset that goes alongside insurance, housing and "speculative" markets. It unsettles me in a way that is deep rooted in empathy, like how would I feel if people were betting money on my performance? Just this week, a large insider betting football scandal was unearthed in Norway. 😓
I love that Vinny is 40.
After 9 yeareals, it's finally my turn to post the "a thousand cereals" clip, seeing as how I'm the idiot who made it.
It’s an incredible concert. I’m seeing Takanaka (and Hiriko Kikuchi performing Flying Beagle) in London this August, so I was brushing up on live footage when I randomly came across it aswell.
an unfortunate yet foretold +1 from me on this take
I humbly present you your possible Autumn activities: takanaka.com/en/2026/02/2...
incredible poster
Anyone on this website using the MovinkPad Pro as a desktop pen display? Is it laggy?
I'm in the market for a new desktop tablet, but the mobility of the Moink is tempting......
IF YOU'RE UNEMPLOYED IT'S NOT BECAUSE THERE ISNT ANY WORK JUST LOOK AROUND: A HOUSING SHORTAGE, CRIME, POLLUTION; WE NEED BETTER SCHOOLS AND PARKS. WHATEVER OUR NEEDS, THEY ALL REQUIRE WORK. AND AS LONG AS WE HAVE UNSATISFIED NEEDS, THERE'S WORK TO BE DONE. SO ASK YOURSELE, WHAT KIND OF WORLD HAS WORK BUT NO JOBS. IT'S A WORLD WHERE WORK IS NOT RELATED TO SATISFYING OUR NEEDS, WORLD WHERE WORK IS ONLY RELATED TO SATISFYING THE PROFIT NEEDS OF BUSINESS. THIS COUNTRY WAS NOT BUILT BY THE HUGE CORPORATIONS OR GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRACIES. IT WAS BUILT BY PEOPLE WHO WORK. AND, IT IS WORKING PEOPLE WHO SHOULD CONTROL THE WORK TO BE DONE. YET, AS LONG AS EMPLOYMENT IS TIED TO SOMEBODY ELSE'S PROFITS, THE WORK WONT GET DONE.
the Black Panthers were right
I became Senior VP at a multi-million dollar company at age 26. My salary was $600k. This was in 2018. How did I do it? Blacked out lines CEO (my dad) promoted me to SVP. There are no gimmicks. There are no shortcuts.
This is blackout poetry to me
pepper spraying someone in the face from inches away while they are already restrained on the ground should get you fired and land you in jail, no exceptions
insanely good thing to say when you enter a room
Thanks for a great year. Lots of fun stats, like how I was #1 on 100 players' Wrapped. I appreciate it, and here's to what might come soon!
I like your taste. Lady Gaga has some solid bangers!
Geez, sounds scary. Glad you ended up home safe, still.
i dont use Spotify as my main method of supporting artists, however the 300 songs i *did* stream were very accurate
If youre still on twitter honestly please please stay there. You’re covered in goo, absolutely dripped, please keep it off my floor
An urgent message is sent by delivery raven (a la Game of Thrones). The royal recipient is concerned. Below cursive script, crude raven scrawl has been added to the scroll: “feed food gud ravin”
It’s Not Yet Time for the Percolator!!!!!
A pika sits on a mossy rock.
Tighter crop of the same pika, focusing on its head.
An even tighter crop, focusing more on the pika's eye.
An extremely tight crop of the pika's eye, emphasizing their reflection of an early morning mountain scene.
"Pat, why do you carry that ridiculous 600mm lens on long hikes?"
Buddy, I can see mountains reflected in the eyes of a trailside pika.
That’s such a fun card!
I’m moving to a different country in 4 days and I’m stressed the fuck out
