Not keen on the idea at all.
Laverne Cox is not only not wrong, but she nailed it on every count.

βDehumanising humans due to differences is a pathway to hellβ says Graham Perrett in defence of trans people. Graham Perrett is finishing his speech with a defence of transpeople and warns against politicians interfering in private health matters: I especially want to mention the parliamentary friends of LGBTIQ, a plus group that I helped form with Warren Entsch a long time ago, and Senator Sarah Hanson-Young. I know itβs in good hands, but with my good friend and comrade, Louise Pratt and Warren leaving soon I concerned that the 48th Parliament might not be ready for the US style attacks directed at the trans community. In Queensland, in fact, some might say those attacks already here. Bullies and fascists always seek small groups to target. They are not alone in seeking out the trans community in this way, trying to turn real people into the other. Remember that Jesus Christ is no weather vane. He loves all people, always, not some people, sometimes. He loves they and them and even you. And perhaps, if some politicians have become obsessed with how kids go to the loo, maybe itβs time to leave the cult and go see a therapist. Dehumanising humans due to differences, is a pathway to hell.
Graham Perrett is a good one. Sorry to see him leave parliament

Does @australianlabor.bsky.social realise abolishing the partner income test for Centrelink payments like DSP would likely win them the election?
Oz friends, sign & share this Parliamentary petition. We don't have disabled marriage equality, but we could. Just 10k signatures = debate in Parliament!

Devastated for trans people & their loved ones having their lives attacked by cruel, sick politicians. Such overt discrimination & demonising of people who just want to get on with their lives like everyone else without having their jobs, healthcare, everything taken purely because of who they are.
and transgender people too.
I hope the trip and visit go really well (welcoming your first grandchild sounds wonderful). We had two air filters with us on the Spirit and stayed put in our cabin (and crossed our fingers).
That sounds really interesting. Will keep an eye on that. Thanks
Thankyou - we tried really hard to keep my immunocompromised mum as safe as possible so we could enjoy our journey with her. Very relieved it worked! Masking for long days and overnight in the hospital was the toughest bit of it.
I havenβt heard of a Plus Life - will look it up :) I just feel for my youngest kid who has had so much of her childhood impacted by covid. I think weβre getting close to the point where we may have to reduce precautions next year so that she can broaden her horizons socially. Itβs a tough decision.
3 months consecutive (mainland road trip with my tween daughter and 70 plus mum) - and another month (a few months later) in Canberra supporting my older daughter while she had surgery. So 2x return ferry trips, stays in hospital and cabin accommodation .
We're covid free still too (fingers crossed), despite travelling away from home for 4 months out of last year. We are also hoping something like this will be our pathway out of the precautions we take - including masking etc. Fingers crossed!
Just an awful thing to do and a horrible act of discrimination.
Hi Julie - I'm a follower of yours from Threads who is very happy to find you here. I'm also a Mum who is homeschooling her youngest child, & can't thank you enough for the positive impact reading 'The Brave Learner' has had on our learning adventure. Best wishes to you from Tasmania (lutruwita).

Had an appointment with a GP (in Margate) this morning who told me there's a lot of COVID going around at the moment.
Hope he will be ok. Sounds scary.
