My take on this is that this is a sign of enormous weakness from Trump. It's a tell. He knows the walls are closing in on him politically and he'd like to avoid the Democratic electoral tsunami that's coming in November.
The insurrection act was always the end goal - I’ve been talking about this for months. He’s been trying to find a city that would push back enough to give him a (flimsy) excuse to do it

I’ve started using the term “ethnic cleansing campaign” to describe the ICE occupation here in Minnesota. This is deliberate because the reality on the ground is that, at a given moment, any non-white person can be kidnapped by masked federal paramilitaries regardless of their constitutional rights.

Quite honestly, I went back to working grocery retail because I will want and need the discount. Ebt might be obsolete soon. I was truly hopeful we would have a Superman/woman moment, but losing hope everyday. The dems are really trying to lose hope for us too. I no longer want to support them.
Also, the last of our older relatives have passed away. We have gone to four funerals.
The Silent Generation is for sure going non existent, and so are a lot of Boomers.

So, one thing that has happened is my husband was fired from his job. We live in a small town in Minnesota, and Walmart is the only place to find work. So, I’ve gone back to work and hus found a commuting job. Life has been a gross pill to swallow, but I gotta do what I can to take care of my fam.
I want the old United States back!

I felt like I had swallowed a brick, and told to behave. I am one of many who will say this: my soul is tired of Trump. I have lost a lot of hope for our children’s futures. I was disgusted and disillusioned by msm when I stopped watching it.
