like, most of my friends who are artists are sick and unemployed or back in retail right now. its not gatekeeping we're doing, it's begging for people to see the bigger picture. we never made enough to live.
It's honestly crazy seeing pro-AI people keep talking about artist like elite gatekeepers when virtually every artist I'm aware of is, at base, struggling to get by.
