Quite important to note - most of the above systems will be purchased from foreign companies highlighting 2 things:
- Wish to acquire off-the-shelf products in order to speed up acquisitions (ending an era of Japan first)
- A gap within this domain on the domestic market
- V-BAT in good position to be installed on New FFM - system already selected to be based on new patrol vessel.
- Additional MQ-9B Seaguardian for the JMSDF
- Bayraktar TB2 is also considered in the plan
Japan accelerates plans in its intention to acquire more UxVs. 🇯🇵
- Offensive UAVs able to attack ennemy's ships are mentionned but not the type (kamikaze ? MUAV armed ? both probably)
- ISR UAVs with an offensive capability based on OPV and patrol ships.

The same issue for Naval Group that took place in 🇨🇦 may apply in 🇵🇱 too.
NG will surely have to step up its presence, its marketing in 🇵🇱 as well as to be cautious about the proposal they make.

In less than a year, the Korean shibuilding industry 'invaded' the 🇺🇸MRO industry landscape by a very aggressive and efficient way. 🇰🇷companies keep multiplying the partnerships with local shipyards to be everywhere.
All 🇰🇷 shipbuilder take the shot: HHI, Hanwha and now SHI
- KSS III offers a great range of capabilities including deep strike and a great autonomy. Hanwha has also a speed of production quite impressive and the submarine is already in service within ROK Navy 🇰🇷⚓️.
This procurement is highly political, so capabilities won't be the only aspects to be looked at.
Note:
- 🇳🇴 (an Arctic country) already chose the Type 212CD from TKMS, and 🇨🇦has a similar Navy and missions to 🇳🇴 and 🇩🇪.
The speed for delivery seem to be key in the selection: probably one of the reason why Naval Group is not part of it, already quite busy with the Netherlands.

The Escadron de drone de chasse (EDC) is a micro-UAV squadron undergoing testing within France’s 1st Marine Infantry Regiment.
After successfully proceeded to a first MRO of a tanker following the agreement signed with the US Navy last year, HHI is again awarded contract for the MRO of another US Navy tanker.
