If you think of the Trent-Severn Waterway as a "body of water" it's actually an island...

The US toppled Venezuela's regime. It's not a stable democracy with respect for human rights yet.
The US toppled Iraq's and Afghanistan's brutal dictatorships. They're still repressive illiberal nations which lack political stability too.
Why should we believe Iran's going to be any different?
Well, you've got a hungry grizzly... and six other people... could be one of those situations you just let nature work out on its own ;)
Actually, a lot of those dreams for me are very negative and I wake up feeling shitty until I realize real life isn't as bad as my subconscious makes it out to be... I wish I had more dreams where things like that went better for me. :P
Nope. Canadian as H-E-double-hockey-sticks.
But... I do kinda miss shopping at a Loblaw's store in my town because they generally carry a greater variety of stuff, particularly "international" foods. Closer store is too "basic"... fine if you're into eating bread, eggs, milk, cheese, but sucks if your palate is a little more international.
President's Choice is owned by Loblaw's, and I've been shopping at their stores for a while until I moved into a new apartment across the street from a competitor. They do a lot of things right... but also a lot of bigger things wrong (on a bigger business/corruption level).
If you know of Canada's "No Name" brand products, Frank is like the second place that no one outside of our country actually knows about but... it's just as witty and fantastic as No Name
Reminds me of Canadian Tire (I guess a Canadian version of Menard's?), and how they have a whole "Frank's" line of grocery products. And a lot of them have product names that are pun-derived like... well, this is a good example:
Got some bad news today I don't want to get into till things are more or less confirmed and not just "it could/couldn't happen", but it's happening at a terrible time for me too because I'm too sick at the moment to do anything about it, and I may not get a chance before it's too late. Feels shitty.
ps it's kinda obscure and kinda sarcastic as it's Pink Floyd's song "Sheep" and this is supposed to depict the lowest class but let's just say, let's just figure they get the ability to enact power.... ... ... yeah
"Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream"
what I wish would happen in reality in the USA
And I'm just supposed to go on with my life as if I haven't just witnessed perfection!?
Holy shit. This made my body do things I did not consent to.
As for the final third of your video, you put it so much better than I could have ever dreamed of. As a Canadian looking in from the outside, you nailed it. I got a little emotional watching that part of the video. The kind of thing that would make me proud to be an American if I were.
I've been saying this about renewable energy to my very pro-fossil-fuels dad for ages. It's not about tree-hugging or whatever, it's about SECURING OUR FUTURE as a technological society, and we can't do that with a resource that literally DISAPPEARS the second we actually use it.
The original is my favourite movie of all time 110% and my god watching ACTUAL tornado chases live on Youtube you would not BELIEVE how often they quote the original movie
"What is this, Bob's Road?"
"WE GOT COWS"
"the SUCK zone"
"What was it like?"
"It was... windy"
Minecraft movie was not something I expected to like, but I enjoyed it. Twisters was not THE sequel I hoped it would be to my all-time favourite film but a GOOD standalone storm chasing film. F1 was GREAT but you have to have a sense of suspension of disbelief. Spinal Tap II WAS a worthy sequel!
My #LastFourWatched covers a number of years at this point...
Megadeth's new album! So good, you listened to it twice! :P
(I still haven't heard the whole thing yet)
Heck yeah, Duke! And Pulse!
So far, the only review of the album I've seen (from YTer Bradley Hall) is mixed. It's either "the best song I've heard from them in a while" or "the worst song I've ever heard from them", no in between hahaha.
I still hate how the logo clashes, but at least the framing is a lot better this year with the white. I also find the less busy sidepod helps a lot, too. This livery is a HUGE step up from last year's! Let's hope for their sake she's as improved in the fast department as she is in looks.
Can't wait for American MAGA conservatives to find out that here in Canada, we call whole milk (and NOT "hole milk" for those who have a problem) "homo milk" (short for "homogenized").
Can't believe I almost missed my favourite "Christmas" song before winter made its way out of here:
No, not an endorsement of the Russian government in any way. But Lada sold a few models here in Canada back in the 90s, and the Niva is one of those cars I'd love to own because I got friends that love off-roading in their Jeeps and 4-Runners and I want something DIFFERENT. But this is TOO different
QOTD: What car do you want most, but know would be an absolutely miserable experience to own?
