wordcount plug in output with word counts
My #rstats / #python tip of the day is @andrew.heiss.phd wordcount Quarto plug in.
Just change one line in your YAML header and your Quarto doc will produce separate word counts for body, notes, references, etc.

Chapter 1 of R the Software Engineering Way is now up! In it, we learn about R functions, how they work and when to write them, and we learn about control flow tools that software engineers use a lot but statisticians don't:

R is wonderful: Creating a Supplement PDF full of summary & regression results tables, and estimated marginal mean plots, all completely auto-generated by the R Markdown code itself with no need for any manual post-modifications. 'gtsummary', 'ggplot2' rock!

One of my favourite #RStats packages for making maps is {geofacet} to create small multiples in a grid that represents an underlying geography. {gridmappr} gives an easy way to automatically create a grid layout to for a spatial object if there isn't already a built-in grid you like.
