Being just a little bummed for a small moment on your podcast and not openly and actively telling your followers to turn away from Trump is its own kind of heinous. To see what Trump is and to respond the way one might if a fantasy football trade didn’t pan out Is gross as hell.
The notion that we could “indoctrinate” military officers in 1.5 years of coursework is grimly hilarious.
I really hope they don’t yank funding from students already in these programs, but I suspect that without pushback he definitely will.
For many decades, left wing activists tried to get elite colleges out of the business of collaborating with the Department of Defense in various ways, a push those colleges almost entirely resisted. In fact, I’ve never met a professor who said they didn’t enjoy working with military students.
You sound like an unhinged person if you in plain words describe what’s happening, but the Trump admin demanded Anthropic’s AI be able to kill things for it w/out human approval and also do mass surveillance.
Anthropic said no, and now the admin is trying to destroy the company in retaliation.

The bosses are forcing their employees to use it. Politicians are competing to shovel money & infrastructure at it. The billionaires who control media are constantly lecturing & hectoring people to accept it & use it more.
They don't care it's losing money. They don't care people hate it.
But the other piece of evidence -- the point of this thread -- is that we now have an example of what it looks like when US political & corporate elites *really are* obsessed with and committed to something.
Namely: AI.
