A Mescalero Apache man was detained in Ruidoso last night by ICE demanding he produce proof of citizenship. The officers kept telling he faced deportation if he didn’t produce proof of citizenship.
Navajos are being detained by ICE asking them to produce proof of citizenship. They are being threatened with deportation. CIBs (Certificates of Indian Blood) are being asked to be held by all Navajo persons, as well as a real ID or passport.
