I don't find it an annoying track either. Because it's only used for Gym Leaders lol. (But, now imagine you're a Gameboy Sound designer in 1996, conveying tone in a Gameboy title. Not exactly easy right? Impossible? No.)

Hi everyone. I like to play video games and talk about anime and cartoons. I also like 18+ art so keep that in mind if you do follow me. I like hearing different opinions as long as we are respectful with discussion. :P (They/them)

I know there's a lot of fair criticisms of the original Gen 1, but I gotta give it some credit for small stuff like this. (Intimidating music with a limited range of musical bleeps and boops is very hard but when effectively used can have atmosphere. Also, PureRed is pretty fun. Play it there.)
You know, for the Gameboy's limited sound chip I think the first Pokemon (Gen 1) really used this track to the best of their ability.
It's quite an energetic track and feels fairly intimidating. You ultimately needing to figure out what's best for what.

I think DenshaAttack is it's own thing taking loose game design language and making something new outta it. It's cool. There's a Demo. Go check it out on Steam. store.steampowered.com/app/2524850/...
Like Tony Hawk, is infused with a lot of Skateboard culture. Obviously they're talking about doing flips and tricks, but these can be universal to any Video Gamey Score attack game. We don't need to tie it down to Tony Hawk. Jet Set Radio you see the aesthetic and vibes of it. Beyond that?
But DanshaAttack I am glad is a throwback not specifically to anything in particular, but just the idea of Score Attack Peak Absurdism design. I think trying to sell it like Tony Hawk or Jet Set Radio while there are elements of it there I think those create false expectations.
And this is not to dismiss incredible works who do justify every piece of gameplay environmental storytelling or game design philosophy. There's always room for Dark Souls and BioShocks of the world. Where every piece of lore and worldbuilding is there to fulfill more than just gameplay.
I found this neat game I wanted to show. DenshaAttack reminds me of the absurdist aesthetics and designs of the late 90's-mid 2000's Arcade Score Attack design. Where not everything needed a lore explanation to have to exist. It was there because it was fun and enjoyable.

The Sleeping Scarlet
A nice fat belly and a nice messy face. ^^
I guess my only criticism I can think, is Cannon Fodder would have benefitted a little from being fleshed out a little more. But it's still really good as is imo.
Giving honest thoughts. If you're looking strictly for Artistic beauty but a balance of intrigue and mystery Magnetic Rose is your choice, If you're someone who enjoys the absurdity heights of Anime Stink Bomb is your choice, If you value the idea of a unique aesthetic and vibe Cannon Fodder is great
My thoughts on the Anthology Memories.
It's a quality in an essayist I like to one day take. To emotionally resonate the reader or viewer into a given topic. Well for me.
I wouldn't worry that much. Acknowledging mistakes is to be human. And that level of humility is more an admirable quality in content creators than to never acknowledge errors like that. I think your writing has gotten better over the years. This might sound corny, but you can invest me in anything
All I had to do was a liitlle bit of research and I saw Samuel L say HE wanted to do it. And George gave him that role. (Besides, it's a fantasy movie. It's not a big deal. And there doesn't need to be no racist connotation about Diversity hires k?)
I mean if you don't like him in the movie that's fine. But I think the whole, "Urban environment hire thing" is a load of bs. And George has nothing to do with traditional Hollywood. He's not even part of the Directors Guild and hasn't been since setting the precedent for after movie credits.
"No miss, you must understand! I love those videos! They're amazing and well done! But they also make arguments that Black people don't like SW for some reason!"
Might as well post this here. That Samuel L Jackson wanted to do Mace Windu. Lol.

I think I made my point. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUeQ...
George doesn't even represent the ideal model for Hollywood. He was even thrown outta the Directors Guild Association. So, it's really irrelevant to me in the first place.
"Cynicism in Hollywood" is just a slippery slope. A slippery slope to a fallacy type argument. With nothing to substantiate it in objectivity or facts. But that's just how I interpret it. At best it's ignorant. At worst he's basically saying they were tokenized hires for cynicism that is non existent
Look at it like this. Well, imagine if someone said, "X actor was used for the MCU like the guy who played Black Panther because of 'Urban Markets' and 'demographics'."
And ask yourself why he's inferring that a great actor or actresses can't just be worth the merits of the role.
I think whatever point they made is moot when you look at the sauce of the arguments. And also, I'm just not a fan of, "Well, they put x actor in for more demographic reach." Like as if the idea of a Republic shouldn't have diversity innately on it's own.
But also, George picked Samuel L Jackson because he was a great actor. And he played that specific role really well. For the certain Jedi he was aiming for. It prove the opposite George was "cynically" picking someone randomly for "Urban markets". By also mentioning Billy Dee Williams.
The bizarre thing about this claim about "Black people not liking SW" is it's bs. But go off I guess. I do wonder how someone like that just made a claim like that with zero evidence. Other than this vague general idea of, "Statistics and demographics"
He was also the one in the movies who was saying the boy might not be up for the task of fulfilling the prophecy. AND, he had a bad ass confrontation with Count Dooku. At what point is this not iconic? Just because someone doesn't like it doesn't mean it's not popular iconic moments of SW.
