As a driver the traffic pattern (sudden merge, poor signage) makes no sense and people on Harrison do all kinds of stupid things to cut me off. I feel it's made the intersection less safe for cars in service of bikers who have no more reason to use Harrison than before.
I live right around the corner from here, and both bike and drive at this intersection--I hate the way they did it. The protection is still for only a teeny portion of a block when I intentionally avoid Harrison on my bike otherwise. Kind of useless.
