Last time permanent DST was tried, it COST CHILDREN'S LIVES! That's a good reason NOT to do it. Let's ditch DST, and restore permanent Standard Time instead!

Respectfully, Sir, it does NOT. DST disrupts our natural circadian rhythm and that has deleterious affects on human health. The smarter move would be to revert to Standard time this month and not chande again. #HumanHealthFail
now where i’m from is further south than all of BC (i’m from NYS) so summer sunsets would still be at like 8 pm. that and i would never want to not see light until 8:30 or 9 am. and in some places dark till as late as 10 am. i’d rather a super early sunrise so it’s bright as hell when i wake up
i was gonna say like i respect him and all and he’s thinking in the right direction but like the US for example tried this in 1974 it failed and made mornings so dark it was insane. and with permanent standard time summer days are already long we don’t need them any longer
it’s like that’s fifth grade level astronomy i fear. i’m pissed about what’s often not taught in school
like it blows my mind how many people don’t know or understand the importance of natural light in the morning. here in the us the arguments ppl have are much worse and it’s all about personal preference and people thinking daylight savings actually makes days longer when it doesn’t
what’s funny to me is how everyone in the comments was all excited and i was arguing with this one person who was like whatever winter is dark anyway but permanent daylight savings makes it even darker. it’s very much a systemic issue
