A Nobel Prize-winning economist bashed President Donald Trump's "false" claims about the state of the U.S. economy in a new Substack essay published on Sunday.
Global opinion on Trump is polarized and largely negative. Per Pew's June 2025 survey of 24 nations, a median 34% express confidence in his leadership, with 62% lacking it—lowest in Europe and allies, where he's seen as arrogant and dangerous.
