Everyone in Upstate NY: It’s been raining forever! This weather sucks.
Me (just getting back from a country that was almost 100 degrees and humid every day for two weeks): THIS MILD/WET SPRING WEATHER IS A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
One day I’m using my umbrella to protect against the sun ☀️ and today it’s for the rain while boarding a plane.
Definitely one of the most useful things I brought on this trip.
Flying/travel days are weird for eating. Since I woke up at 3am, I had my lunch of a salad by 9am.
I finally broke the cycle. I went to the bathroom and THEN went to the gate of my connecting flight.
I know. I’m living on the edge.
The one thing that is helping me get through these crazy times right now is knowing I didn’t vote for him.
TIL, according to TSA, peanut butter (or Trader Joe’s cookie butter) counts as a liquid for carry ons.

Getting in & out of malls, picking up exactly what I need/preordered and then leaving, is my superpower.
Somehow I even walked past REI without going in.
I’ve never been so sore from an activity (Painting) not listed in my MapMyRide app - which lists dozens of activities, even massages and spa treatments as options.
Also, it’s been a while since I’ve related so much to a candle. Other than the bday part lol

The Mulaney SNL musical sketches have always been meh IMO (mostly cuz they’re “hey you know this showtune right?” and I know he’s capable of better Broadway commentary) BUT Jenna Ortega and Kevin Costner made this infinitely funnier because they’re doing some solid “no small parts” acting. #snl50

Everyone who lives in New York State has their definition of where Upstate/Downstate begin.
I’ve realized, for me:
Upstate - is the area of the state where I don’t mind driving
Downstate - is the area of the state where I’d prefer to take a train or the Metro

I didn’t know that! Does that mean anything specifically in Italian - like when I put La Joconde in Google translate for French it just said “The Mona Lisa.” Same in Italian?

I collect postcards and I’ve had this one in my workspace at two different jobs.
And I only learned this week that La Joconde is French for Mona Lisa.
