Just yesterday I had to explain to someone that you don't use the percent change formula when comparing numbers from two different companies.

Current cross section on Woodland Bridge. Itβs for a maintenance project but imagine this as a bikeway and protected sidewalk. Turn the third travel lane into a flex lane like JRP. Weβd be cookinβ

Iβve been getting Scrabble endgame strategy suggestions in my YouTube algorithm.
How should I feel about this?
I try not to attribute what can be explained by oversight, accident, or incompetence to malice, but sometimes the malice shoe fits.
Sorry. No, I meant the voter lists their top 3 issues. So you can get the voters perception of which CMs are good on topics.
Like, my top three issues would be:
Transportation, Housing, and Greenways
Then I rank the CMs and my top ones would assume good marks on those issues.
Yeah! For example!
Would be interesting if voters could tag/list their top-3 "issues" too, to gain context in which CMs are favorable on topics.
And he replaces the single most odious person on the TLC. What a win for the good guys!

I understand your frustration, but please see @cbowe34.bsky.social post regarding the pedestrian *always* having the right of way.
Also, there simply was not a crosswalk anywhere near where this crash occurred.
All four have been posted to NashFatalCrash.com, along with over 1,000 other deaths on Nashville roadways since 2017.
Agreed. Unfortunately, while news orgs and journalists should do better, theyβre just regurgitating what MNPD tells them.
I put the blame squarely on MNPD and no one else.
Lesson from todayβs ACT meeting, the navigation button at the top of nashville.gov/transit is helpful! I had never noticed it on desktop
Gallatin Pike between Trinity and Briley kills more people each year than the entirety of Helsinki, Finland.
VZAC published a resolution last March asking for @nashvilledot.bsky.social and MNPD to coordinate on better language in their press releases. They've not done so. And thus, local news outlets victim blame.
Common theme: We need ours leaders to lead better.

"Police said this crash occurred outside of a crosswalk."
That's because THERE IS NO MARKED CROSSWALK at Virginia Ave.
@nashville.gov - MNPD should be saying that instead. That onus is on our infrastructure failure, not the pedestrian.

The attached news article from WSMV appears to include bad reporting:
"According to witnesses, the car was in the center turning lane before trying to cross the roadway."
This indicates to me the driver was NB in the center lane, waiting for SB traffic to clear to turn left onto Virginia Ave.

One of the coolest things Iβve experienced happened on my way home from the @bikelaneuprising.bsky.social event:
a bat discovered the swarm of bugs lit up by my headlight and spent about half a mile flying 40-50 feet ahead of me, picking them off one by one. π¦
