I enjoyed this series, Cassandra. It's a horror series that combines the evil Nanny trope, AI, and smart technology in a really interesting, creepy way. Recommended!
Hey, I emailed my representatives demanding they speak out more aggressively about Trump, and the next day, one (of four) actually did.

I was listening to her the other day too. It's weirdly comforting to listen to folk/protest music right now, at least for me.

What an intense and wonderful weekend! Petaluma Reader’s Theatre performed a reading of Mrs. Dickens Christmas Dinner, the play I wrote with @marciaisms.bsky.social.
It was exciting to see our work be brought to life by these terrific actors. Thank you to everyone who came out to see the play.

Last night I groomed my cats because they have fleas, which was unpleasant for us all. Then I had nightmares where the Jellicle cats from the musical Cats! invaded my house & sang at me while putting fleas in my bed. I woke up scratching nonexistent bites.
Lesson: Don't kill fleas before bedtime.
As someone who has foraged for mushrooms for years, I don't understand people taking the risks that allow this to happen. Don't eat anything that resembles a death cap or destroying angel or the other deadly ones. Free button mushrooms, or whatever, aren't worth the risk of *check notes* dying.
