Sorry, not following. Do you mean they would graduate, teach for a while then leave? That's today's system; people following a calling, doing amazing work at the expense of their finances, or new graduates. We need to value civil service jobs differently. Their degree costs the same.
How do we tell young people to go into careers that will never pay off the student loans needed to enter those careers?
We are a family of teachers and civic minded. I don't want to raise capitalists, but I also can't set my kids up for a lifetime of struggle.
What about zoning? And water use and sewers? Did the owners get proper zoning for 1500 people when they built a warehouse? Did they pay taxes on the municipal upgrades that are going to have to happen? How about permission for human rights crimes?

Where was Juan Nicolas born? Because if it was in the US, he is an American citizen. This inhumanity is awful no matter his status, but we should not forget that he is likely a citizen.
