Learning that IronMan/similar events restrict headphone use is a real disappointment.
We’re all adults competing and are responsible for our own actions/outcomes.
Noise cancelling headphones maybe there is a safety argument but bone conducting headphones should surely be permitted.
What has Hoijland done to his team mates?! They clearly have no intention of passing to him.
Rewatched the United highlights from yesterday, I like Dorgu and have concerns on Onana……..
However, IF Onana has called for the ball it’s a Dorgu mistake and proactive goalkeeping from Onana.
Concerned the negative narrative around Onana is influencing how fans/pundits are perceiving the incident.
Certainly from a technical standpoint fantastic player, his criticism has been the athletic ability and defensive aptitude if memory serves. But can we be too choosy at this point?!
Surely in the summer with Erikson/Case off, we’ll need at least one CM?
Hopefully it’s a bloody good pickled egg 😂
I read they want to increase the height of the team (raise the physical floor of the team) someone sizeable who can carry/protect the ball would be ideal.
Feel we need someone who can pass reliably, too many games I’ve seen us slow play in the middle with an under hit/misplaced pass.
@nqatpod.bsky.social I’d love to hear your thoughts on this on the pod if you get around to it.
If Kobbie Mainoo becomes a permanent No. 10, what type of player should partner Ugarte?
I’d prefer a progressive playmaker like Teun Koopmeiners (Atalanta) who’d better complement Ugarte’s defensive work and Mainoo’s creativity.
Who’s your preferred partner for Ugarte?

On the pod they only highlighted the faltering revenue streams. What I wanted to express was as we are now a team who can’t reliably provide European football (ECL not included) should our approach to new signings and current player contracts be more inline with our league position of late?
Is it time that this summer we seriously look at ourselves as a mid table team.
Club reset almost, look to move players on big wages on and hold the line on contract negotiations regardless of how talented the player is.
We are a mid table team who pay mid table wages?
Listening to the @nqatpod.bsky.social podcast today. Some real concerning points regarding club revenue.
I always assumed Manchester United would make it back to the top eventually with us being “too big to fail”.
Worried this is no longer the case!
Born ‘95, classic “glory hunter” non match going fan. Growing up hated and still hate Arsenal the most.
Feel like we’ve flipped position with Liverpool. Turn up for the occasional big game but not able to sustain a title challenge.
Sacrilege but would rather Liv win the league than Ars.
So pleased to see us giving these Arsenal gits some of their own medicine when defending corners. Grab and push ‘em.
Let the ref get involved as many times as he likes. Don’t let them have a sniff.
Watching the game with United’s spottiest fan 😅 Tough game on our hands.
Come on United! 🔴⚪️⚫️
Signed up for my first half Ironman on 02/01/2025, played football and tore my calf muscle on 04/01/2025.…….classic.
Collyer would probably do as cover until the end of the season. Realistically the league is almost irrelevant at this point. If you have a chance to unload him in Jan I think the club should go for it.
Amazing player but long term commercially would hold the club back.
I’m a Kobbie fan, I hope he extends. We gave Rash a bumper long term contract and that’s not worked out so far.
I think the club folds a little quick on these contract extensions. If he has 2 years on his contract and a club comes in for £80m that’s still a strong bargaining position for the club.
Is it really a ‘situation’, my understanding is that he is contracted until 2027 with an optional year until 2028?
I think we’re negotiating too early, let’s see how he’s getting on at the end of the year and negotiate then?!
Fantastic game! The team played at a level that deserved the draw which at this stage is more important than the point earned!
Well done lads, great half!
Come on United!
Realise I’m moaning as we’re 2-0 down and playing poor.
It concerned me that I heard a lot of the same language hiring Amorim as when Ten Hag joined.
I’m also worried at the lack of tactical flexibility Amorim might have.
Prem’s an ever evolving beast, did it figure out the back 3 over 5 years ago?
Be great when the football starts to somewhat match his demeanour.
I’m worried at some point it will start coming across as irritating if the obvious holes in his system aren’t solved.
Great Pod, you guys have been so dedicated to giving us listeners content over the festive period, really appreciated, especially by those of us who still have to work!
Surprised by the lineup, but just watched Erikson slap a few into the bottom corner during the warmup and I’m now feeling a bit more confident!
I find that exercise makes me feel like I have the ‘right’ to relax as I’ve already achieved something that day.
Which makes relaxing afterwards all the sweeter, especially if you get it out the way early!
Great podcast! I would have liked to have heard the chaps thoughts on Gary’s comments on United not deserving the win and Amad being the ONLY player worthy of the shirt?
Is this worth commenting on or am I just being sucked in by negative attention seeking behaviour that we should just all ignore?
Absolutely especially as he didn’t start!
“Can’t say United deserve it” where was that when city were 1-0 from a deflected cross?
Gary Neville saying that Amad has been the only player to look like a United player is more of the regular negative bollocks we’ve come to expect from him.
Maz, Ugarte, Hoijland, Mag and Martinez have all done their jobs today as have others.
