Sadly wasnt able to participate, but I liked this scene from a competition created by Vienna Symphonic Library. Wanted to explore doing a medieval aesthetic with modern musical elements π

Late holiday post π
wanted to share my final track for 2025
(Now I got all the wholesome vibes out, I will now spend the next 2 weeks making monstrous sounds for a horror film π» )

wrapped up a cinematic/noir-style trackπ It was fun going down the vintage aesthetic feel and using a smaller ensemble. The recorded violin really helped push it to the next level too π€ #composing #cinematicmusic #ryanleach
THE TIME IS NIGH!!! πππ
Come hit me up at #paxwest, and not only show you the raiding rogue lite we're working on Nullpoint Protocol, but I'll give you some things with little guys. Including a sick post card you can slap on your wall of our art, as well my own little guy on my business card. Booth 648!

βLetβs add some reverb to take the edge offβ β adds Valhalla Supermassive
me: I'm in a whole new world π
ahhh the animation looks so clean! and love the vfx particles on the player, its a really nice touch!
very cool! what made you decide to rework it? sounds like you were getting diminishing returns on the old code?
Wrapping up my piece inspired by the soundtrack of Tunic, my friend helped with recording the flute, which made the music wayyyyyy better than I hoped forπ₯Ί
Will do some light mixing, add more tonal sounds to gel some sections together, and that's it!

Headed to Tampa Bay Comic Con this Saturday! Any audio folks around and want to grab lunch or a quick introduction meet, let me know π
Big announcement coming soon!
π There's blood at the end of the fight, just a heads up
Tried rescoring a fight scene using only percussion!
Used the free Dynamo library from Orchestral Tools. Was a great exercise in thinking differently about how to compose action scenes. fav was the marimba to end the scene, felt really satisfying π

Little win today: finally figured out how to set up Voicemeeter on my PC. Now I can record my DAW audio and my voice at the same time with minimal latency π
π₯Ίlooks so cozy
visual scripting is so intresting, what makes it feel like spaghetti code to you? I would imagine that seeing it visually would help make it more "intuitive" and reduce wasted features if that makes sense π
picture of a cute duck
Spent this weekend in Lakeland, FL, doing boom recording for a short, and of course, I underestimated how hot it was going to be :( (Florida native btw)
But I did see a cute duck, so it was worth it :)
feel the same way with YouTube search, it becomes biased towards "trending" videos that are not relevant

I always worry if I should focus on one genre or styleβbut then I make something and think, βmeh, this sounds too close to the last one,β and end up flipping it into something new. The cycle continues. π«‘
I have an in-between state! adding a bunch of code but suspiciously wondering how it's even compiling or passing tests...
