In February 2019, I was the proud editor of an anthology called Happiness in Numbers.

It was a trailblazer - not just because it was the first anthology to tell solely polyamorous stories, but because it was then, and is still today, the only polyamorous anthology without sex at its core.

Text reads: If people continue to see polyamorous people and characters as nothing more than the sex it’s possible for them to have, they’ll never see anything else in the potential of polyamorous stories.

As an asexual polyamorous person, I think about this all the time.

I'm even in the middle of an essay, analysing 27 polyamorous stories published between 2010-2024, that features the line:

A list of genres polyamory might fit into: Disability & polyamory! Polyamorous found family! Polyamory in Space! Polyamorous royal line of succession in fantasy! Polyamorous final girls!! Spaghetti Western Polyamory! It takes a village polyamory! Polyamorous red herrings!!

It's 2025. Is it still too soon to see an independent publishing house opening its doors solely to polyamorous fiction?

I'm not fussy, Really, I'll take polyamory in literally every genre I can get it including, but of *course* not limited, to
