A red and black colour work mitten lays almost compete on a white blanket. The cuff has checkerboards and hearts, and the body of the mittens has a v pattern surrounding a maple leaf. At the top, near the needles, there is a jump in the v.
*sigh* this is what I get for continue to try and finish these mittens while Iβm tired. Better to sleep before ripping back and trying again.

A red and black mitten in progress. There is a rolled cuff (with cozy ribbing inside), a checkerboard section, and a hearts section in colour work on the cuff. Thatβs as far as itβs knit.
Did I make it to the split for the thumb before realizing I had two sides with the back patterns, and no sides with the palm pattern?
Yes. (This is post-rip-back)

A black and white photo shows four starts of socks balanced on a pair of knees. Each of the four have a light coloured cuff, and two completed stripes.
In the background you can see a curling rock hat, and a sheet of ice with curlers.
To avoid spoilers, Iβm switching to B&W for the rest of the week.
Two draws into the Olympics Trials, Two stripes down in the socks!

A sparkly white sock cuff, on the needles, balances on a black crossbar. Behind it, there are curling sheets with women playing on them.

Weβre knitting our advent sock yarn at the Canadian Curling Trials, one stripe per draw. This might be the only photo we post βliveβ so we donβt spoil the colours for others.

An orange project bag, orange sock-in-progress and an orange glass of wine in a tall stem glass sit on a picnic table next to a river. The sock hack needles in it, and it more of a tube with some ribbing and cables than a sock.
Iβm on to the second sock! Took it to sit next to the river with a glass of wine this afternoon.

An half knit orange sock rests on a jean covered leg. The sock has a mix of ribbing and cable down the leg, and the heel has just been turned and the gusset picked up.
This is shaping up to be the first month Iβm not finished before the next pattern drops. Iβve just turned the heel of the first sock, and itβs already the 24th π¬
Nothing about the pattern itself - there just hasnβt been much knitting this morning

Two pairs of brightly striped hand knitted socks sit on a blue table. The pair on the left has sparkly white heels, toes and cuffs, while the one on the right is charcoal gray.
There are 24 stripes in each sock because they were originally for advent knitting.
My advent/curling socks are complete! (Pending weaving in of ends) Theyβre the same gradient running opposite directions on each pair. (The yarn is The Cozy Knitter 2024 advent sock yarn)
Iβm really happy with adding a little short row gusset to the afterthought heels.

Two knitted socks lay on the table, with needles in each of their unfinished heels. The socks have white sparkly cuffs, toes and heels - while the main body of the sock is multi-coloured striped
A wild Friday night putting heels in sock tubes I had waiting in a pile of sock tubes.
I always want knitting out of both ends of the same ball to be a nice smooth process - but itβs always a twisting messβ¦ and yet Iβll do it again.

Three pairs of folded socks and a ball of yarn sit on a blue table. They are in a gradient of colours between yellow and a red-orange. The left most is yellow and has a lace top to the foot, the middle pair is a light orange and the legs show knitted texture. The right most pair is a darker orange and it also has a lace top to the foot. Above all three socks is a dark red-orange ball of yarn with needles sticking out.
As I cast on for the fourth pair in the Handmade Sock Society 6 by Helen Stewart, I realized that I donβt think I showed any photos of the third pair. I did knit them!!
I finished them earlier this week, although I havenβt woven in any ends on any of the pairs yet.

An iPad sits on a blue and white striped couch cushion. On top of the iPad keyboard, there are three knitted socks at various degrees of competition. The one on the right is orange lace, the one in the middle is rainbow stripes with gray yarn for working the cuff, and the one on the left is pink and sea foam stripes. On the iPad is the womenβs Euros final game.
Three socks should be enough knitting for watching a soccer game, right?

Day 15 (using the tour stages as counting) of the Tour de Fleece: I didnβt get a full 15 minutes in yesterday, but did get more than that in today! Most of the way through the blue section.

The top view of a spinning wheel bobbin. The bobbin is covered in green and blue and teal yarn. The yarn is very fine and shiny from the silk content.
Tour de Fleece Day 14: covered the last of the blue on the bottom of the bobbin just in time to start the next section of blue!
Iβm not always a fan of spinning high silk contents, but this is delightful.

Got my 15 minutes in right at the end of the day before bed, so the photo quality isnβt great. Mostly just a little green addition at the top of the bobbin.

A pair of partially finished socks sit on a black table. The cuff of the socks are black, and the unfinished feet of the socks are black, but the leg of the socks is neon rainbow stripes!
I knit the -neon- cuffs of these socks over the winter, and then rapidly realized that I did not have enough light for tiny black yarn.
Iβve pulled them both out and Iβm going to try to power through them while I have the light.
