➡️ Most common trajectories involve only live births.
➡️ Most frequent combinations: live birth + induced abortion (10–13%) and live birth + miscarriage (7–9%).
➡️ Younger cohorts postpone childbearing → fewer events (incl. adverse outcomes) at younger ages.
➡️ Trajectories diversify with age, but cohort differences remain limited.

Exploring the full spectrum of reproductive experiences
doi.org/10.20377/jfr...
Using Czech health register data, we analyse reproductive trajectories of women born 1976–1991, including live births, miscarriages, induced abortions, stillbirths, and infertility treatment (ART).
➡️ Younger cohorts postpone childbearing → fewer events (incl. adverse outcomes) at younger ages.
➡️ Trajectories diversify with age, but cohort differences remain limited.

summary 🧵👇
The sub-national associations between the prevalence of polygyny (the proportion of married men over age 20 in a polygynous marriage) and the prevalence of unmarried men (the proportion of men in their 20s who have never been married) in 74 censuses, mostly from Sub-Saharan Africa.
The proportion of men in their 20s who were never-married across United States counties in 1880, disaggregated by marriage system and region. Out of five groups, the second lowest proportion of unmarried men is found in the polygynous West (which was mostly Utah)
Actually, social composition effects mean that, in ~50% polygynous countries, the places with the most polygyny have the least unmarried men! Another ~40% have no association, even after controlling for the local sex ratio. Communities that marry polygynously, usually marry more overall (3/5)
