Her legal name was Esther ~ Suzanne TUKARSKI. She was registered under her middle-name at school&was called so by family+friends. Esther had been chosen to honour her grandma.

Gaston'dad's village+county only became Romanian in 1920. Hungary took it back from 1940to44&massacred its 25,000 Jews.
Parents married in Drancy in 1925.
Dad's name was probably Nissan Fuchs but he declared himself to Census people as Nicolas Farago=Christian Hungarian name.
