This cymbidium started flowering 2 weeks ago, first of this Winter's orchids to bloom.
It's so hard to photograph tho. It's a much darker red than it appears here, but trying to capture the sunlight transmission through the petals makes it look much brighter 🌱

We're looking after them for my sister who's moving back to the UK. So these two have just come off a flight.
Not sure how long they'll be staying either, as it'll be until my sister sorts out a place to live that allows pets, so it could be a while

At least this evening they'll probably be hiding while they get used to a new place

Yeah, usually I'd stick a TODO comment on it so I can just easily pick it up later.
However, I know for this specific thing I'll be using it a bunch & it's faster to write the whole thing now, while I remember why I've written the function parts the way I have, than reread it & add something later 😅

Usually I love being thorough with work tasks & knowing confidently that something is complete with no unknown side effects.
But today I just want this particular task to be done so I can work on a specific (creative) other task. But I know I can't just leave this half baked

But the original "Make it good later" isn't about making *good* art so much as it's about actually finishing making something - don't get distracted by making it good/perfect, make it exist first (then you can decide how much polish to add if you want to)

There's something supremely satisfying about being able to add tags to the writing for my game, for animations that don't actually exist yet & know that once the matching animation file has been created it will just run without any further input

Good! The sun is shining! I picked some strawberries and raspberries to add to my cereal for breakfast.
Got my first orchestra session after the Summer break this evening. And a chill day of work in between.
