Some great birds currently in Co. Kerry Cattle Egret, Glossy Ibis, Black Brant + Bonapartes & Ring b Gulls.At Rossbeigh the Black Scoter with the Scoter flock. At Cromane Redhead, Ring necked Ducks & male Lesser Scaup still at L Ygannavan .
Near Listowel the Taiga Bean Geese & Goosander near Dingle.

The female Redhead at Lough Ygannavan near Cromane found 24th January by Brian Power & is still present today, this is only the 2nd Irish record & the first ever in Kerry of the North American duck. Video by kind permission of K Kelly.

It’s amazing that this appears to be the only bird remaining in the Kingdom after the great influx during September 2025 when an incredible 174 birds were recorded in the county.
