They’ll never accept it, but everyone who cast a vote for Donald Trump did real, generations-long damage to the United States and the west in exchange for essentially nothing of value.
The decree [to rename the Gulf of Mexico] and its enforcement were indeed sinister—an effort to bend reality to one man’s whim. But they were also pathetic, a revelation of inner weakness, not national strength.
"Clearly, there is no hope of good-faith negotiation with Trump, or with Johnson... Let them pass a 2025 spending bill on their own... enact Trump’s entire agenda on their own. They have the votes. Democrats ought not give them a single one."
