November was busy as we attended the Mastering Diversity Awards as one of the nominees, which we wrote about for our column. We’re grateful to have received the Meritorious Award that night. We also held our first event in West Wales in partnership with Yr Egin and the Outdoor Partnership.

Glamorgan Cricket hosted their first Women in Cricket Conference this October and CWS held a break out session. As we were nearing completion on our strategy publication, we chose to ask for contributions from those in the room on what women and girls need to thrive in sport in Wales.

A contigent of our Board represented CWS at the Welsh and Scottish Government’s Symposium prior to the two nations’ first game in Salford this August. We were thrilled to cheer on our Welsh women at the World Cup and fly the flag for women’s sport.
