KF has always provided a certain kind of fun that I don't really get from many other games these days, if at all, and losing that would be one of the most depressing things to happen in recent years.
Performance was bad at launch and now I can actually run the game on decent settings at a high framerate. There's only really one performance issue that's screwing with me in certain maps but the team seems to be aware of it now and will likely be fixed in the next content update.
They screwed up with the launch of the game 100%, but they clearly are trying to course correct the game, especially after seeing the 2026 roadmap. I trust them enough to try, and the progress they've already made is night and day.
We regrettably confirm that our studio has recently undergone a workforce reduction which has affected 23 people from across different areas. This was an incredibly difficult decision, and was heavily deliberated given the impact on those affected, along with the overall team. The loss of these talented individuals will be felt, and we are deeply grateful to each of them for their contributions and the impact they've had on our projects and culture. I can't say I'm super surprised, but, I'm still worried about KF3's future. There is very little margin for error now. I don't want to see Tripwire go under and watch the last decade of fun I've had with Killing Floor end so abruptly like being punched in the face and having my wallet taken.
I've been too caught up in everything going on and trying to fix things that I didn't pay bills in time. I need $331.80 to get things back on. I can't do more than sketch doodles with my health but maybe if anyone is interested I can do a few for $50? $80 for flat color?

3/2 (other thoughts I have) As a casual KF enjoyer myself, you'll likely find enjoyment in this game. While I agree that Trip effed up and they need to dig out of the trench now cause of it, the stuff they have lined up mostly put my worries to rest.
Currently, the game doesn't let you change survival game length (5 waves and a boss only rn), no modding tools, no community servers nor server browser, no text chat, etc.
BUT, all of these are being added to the game this year (as seen in the 2026 roadmap). 2/2
There are valid complaints in the reviews, 100%. The game was going to be something MUCH different in terms of tone and design up until they delayed the game by a few months to course correct the game's direction. 1/2
