"goods were cheap, and the world belonged to us".
Quite literally, and it still does
Cor, sure would feel great right now if we were self-sufficient in renewable energy, and laughing at all the rubes reliant on global oil supplies. We'd have a bit of a swagger in our step today.
The Reddit experience:
Me: "I have this question about gardening..."
Male American Redditors: "D'uh, that's such an easy problem to solve, and I know this because I solved it. Easily. You need to up your weights and take magnesium."
Thanks for that! Yeah imagine it's a long pipeline. Just wondering if a world class academy is in the same bag of wishes as new training facs + stadium
How's our academy doing? You never really hear much about its development, but I guess that's also got to be a key part of kicking on & generating £££ + new stars. Feels like only real success recently has been Miley.
Blair simpering around Trump, rebuking Starmer for not engaging in an illegal war, on the front pages of our most feral and deranged Right wing rags, says everything you ever needed to know about Blair.
It's like our midfield is made of vapour #nufc
We've lost our heads here, but there's no denying City are top drawer. Just need to settle it down #nufc
It's only a matter of time before the... erm... aristocracy rise up

The two most reliable measures of human sociopathy are:
1. How you drive/park when near a school.
2. How you handle defeat in a by-election after standing on a racist platform.

I think Field Marshal Tripps'll go down as my favourite Toon signing since Shearer. Just a proper pro, real deal, #nufc hall of famer. He mightn't have the legs anymore, the flair of Bruno, the precision of Sandro, but he was first in & he's grafted tirelessly. Will be gutted the day he leaves
Knew there was a world class striker hiding somewhere underneath that puppy dog exterior. Go Will! π₯π₯π₯ π€π€ #nufc
If there was ever a time for John Ruddy to rise... #nufc
Ruby - happy as a cat could be in her patch of spring sunlight
just read another paper by my external examiner that resonates so closely with my own work. I'm just *praying* the viva doesn't become one of those 'never meet your heroes' kinda situations, because right now I think she's absolutely amazing #phdsky #academicsky

I've had two ballot wins this season. A run that reflects their current form.
Managed to reserve two City tix in the general sale the other day tho. They were in the bag. Colleague caught my attention before I pressed 'pay', turned to talk, forgot to pay for the tickets. D'oh!

I've decided... I think I'm going to set up my own little film and writing school in Newcastle. Been toying with the idea for a while and this amazing book about TOMA (The Other MA set up by Emma Edmondson) has tipped me over the edge of the insanity of even trying such a thing #academicsky
Not as such, but he wasn't a first choice striker by a long chalk. He was a panic buy in that we brought him in as a first choice striker out of desperation, & Wissa was still in the air. We were never scouting him as an Isak replacement.
I think Big Nick will be away too. Panic buy who doesn't fit with Howe's system.
As for PSR, massive braking effect obvs, but I believe we go into this summer with a huge PSR advantage that we can capitalise on now that the 'base' of the squad is there - certainly there's far more to build on than in 2022
I think there'll be major surgery & a reset in summer. EH has had 3 seasons without support to progress the team, & I think with new hierarchy in place it'll be a v different summer - more like post-takeover. I'm excited, I think it'll be a 2 steps back 3 steps forward thing.
Watching Sharp Objects for first time and it's absolutely spectacular.
'It's not us, it's the stupid voters and those meth-head religious nutter Greens' is an interesting way of currying favour with a voting bloc who just went to the Greens
It doesn't seem a massive leap to think that this was what gave NL such broad appeal for so long. I remember it was MPs like Cook, Short, Prescott etc. who made it appealing as a young student & acted as the class/social conscience of an oft-right-leaning party. Which UG is gonna vote for... Wes?
If you are still on X, you are getting a highly distorted view of public opinion.
Welcome back kidda. Hope all is well x

Greens just overturned a 13K Lab majority.
