Huffing and puffing that I had a call just before lunch, only to find it's a reminder to self βΊοΈ
Love this idea, something to ponder later.
1 reminds me of "sorry I'm late" vs "thanks for your patience" which is the reframing I probably need to do too?
I dunno, all this is to say that being a woman is hard, the system knows that, and instead of making things better, they just gave us a day to recognise it's hard π€‘
Fwiw I think our eastern Europe friends do take the time - flowers and chocolates I think. But otherwise it feels like a prewarning that mother's day is coming (next Sunday FYI)
International Women's Day is interesting, because it's only acknowledged (imo) in Ireland by companies, boots on the ground nobody cares? Like do the people who organise things in their job go home and celebrate the women in their lives or is today just another Sunday?
Wine and Camile on the menu tonight pals π€
Hopefully tomorrow morning will be crisp and ready for a family coffee walk, I need that sunshine dopamine for my sanity π
Just witnessed the most obnoxious playdate pick up of my life! The da pulls up in a merc suv outside the house and beeps out a shave and a haircut... Twice πΆ
Absolutely wild that I'm following up on an insurance claim since December and she tells me ahh I was sick last week and I had a week off in early Feb - what were you doing the other 10 weeks???
I also hate multitasking in the background on calls, neither thing gets my full attention that I think it overall takes up more time
Then compound all that with meetings regularly going over time or starting late??
A 45 min meeting for 12pm has just started 5 mins ago, absolutely crunching into lunch π’
What's really frustrating about WFH is that your day gets really fragmented by calls and the gaps in between aren't long enough to get decent work done, so you end up doing bitty stuff and never really clearing the to-do list
Portia Umansky is 18, I should up my AVC π’
Drivers are so impatient and aggressive these days. Me stopping at red or a long amber shouldn't feel as defiant as it does!
I'm not old, but I'm working long enough to remember a little treat weekday lunch costing less than a tenner, including a can! βΉοΈ
The Tiger Who Came to Tea
I don't get why it's so beloved? π€·ββοΈ If we're going to fawn over Brit picture books, give me Paddington and his antics any day.
Two good drying days in a row??? The sun on my aching bones?
Spring has SPRUNG a chΓ‘irde! π
Is Popeyes the one with all the sauces? π
I ABSOLUTELY celebrate. Every year I check the rankings of my family's names. Da still has the most popular name, my eldest the least (excellent π)
Fair fucks for never giving up, 2 years is wild.
It might not have even been out in Irish cinemas at that point? But this kid had the USA edition, which required her also dragging in a πΊπΈ dvd player (remember region locking?) and a 3 pin adaptor π
Sticking on Finding Nemo for the pets this morning. The first time I saw it was in school, the biggest Celtic Tiger cub in our class brought in the dvd to watch before Christmas break
And afaik the Corolla is on the smaller end of the things as far as estates go??
Would love to see my aunt's 90s blue Volvo now. That baby fit so many children it was a bus!
You'd wanna SEE how I Tetris'ed it going to Centreparcs with two babbies in nappies.
It's been a mobile changing station more often than I could count.
Two buggies going to the zoo, why not?
Christmas groceries? No match for this beast βοΈ
IKEA with the seats down, a dream
When I last changed my car I was looking at (used) saloons, but the salesman talked me round to an estate he had with better spec and lower mileage for similar β¬. I thought estates were for Dads 40+ but now I wouldn't be without my hearse jrnl.ie/6963305
Fuck me that last line???! Doesn't seem to me like he feels terrible about it
Ugh I don't like that at all!
Jaysis! I'm sorry you're dragging through this but thanks now I'll never buy from SD online if there's even the slightest risk of it not fitting
You're stuck in the last movie you watched... (Answer with a GIF)
