I also tried a coloring technique that I'm not familiar with and won't lie, it was physically difficult to paint in such a dull palette. Leaving my warm sunset colors comfort zone is a torture ._.

I used a photo from my personal archive as the background, referencing my headcanon that Hans's eyes aren't blue, but gray, like a stormy sky. And very sad, that constasts a lot with his generally bright appearance (colorful design) and character.

I saw screenshots from Luke's recent SideQuest, he's so adorable and happy like a child there while holding various birds on his hand, it inspired me to draw something similar… but, well, I strayed quite a bit from the references. Ended up being quite 'Bird of Prey'-ish 🤔

Initially Henry was supposed to have his default appearance, but I just can't resist his beard, it's doing something with my brain 🥵

Me at some point bc a headcanon formed in my mind: when the door closed behind Henry, and Hans was left alone with his thoughts, he had a panic attack unrelated to his fear of enclosed spaces, as the fear of losing someone dear and important and the fear of loneliness triggered childhood trauma 🥲👍

wanted to draw something hot and spent a long time going through ideas on where to start and decided to start... well... from the start
