Here's my official statement on the news of the White House's actions regarding my tenure on the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Board. “The decision of the White House to fire me before the completion of my term is wrong. It violates the bipartisan statutory framework adopted by Congress to protect credit union members and their deposits. The Trump Administration’s attack also undermines the independence, balance and important work of the NCUA. If a President can fire an NCUA Board member at any time, how will we maintain public trust in our nation’s financial services regulatory system?

Another illegal firing: the President has apparently attempted to remove the two Democratic members of the federal credit union regulator.

The NCUA board had a 2-1 Democrat majority, now just the lone Republican is left.

The President’s unprecedented Executive Order yesterday targeting Messrs. Chris Krebs and Miles Taylor for nothing but the exercise of their First Amendment rights is the President’s most constitutionally corrupt Executive Order to date.

You cannot simultaneously hold that "cybersecurity is a priority for the federal government" and "we're cutting CISA services with no replacements for federal agencies."
