A ginger and a tortoiseshell kitten on a green duvet
I loved the bunnies I had as a child but the guinea pigs made better pets. If I was going for small animals now I'd probably opt for rats. But we just got two chaos kittens instead.

A solid score and a π€¦πΌββοΈfor not reading a question properly
I love that so much! Awesome book.

I'm in some sort of no-man's land in between. Which is why my inbox is feral.

A ginger kitten and tortoiseshell wrapped in each others paws on a blue blanket
What's up? I mean, everything! So let's have some kittens
It's bonkers and wonderful
Off to the bookshop for the 10 year old to spend birthday book tokens. What are your best recommendations?
Being able to play the piano is a great skill.
Seymour doing much better than his predecessor Audrey - hence my warning about the flowering!
Mine is called Seymour. Don't let it grow a flower!
It's not a very complex piece with little need to move the hands so actually probably not all that long. If you can follow the guitar hero style score and master the rhythm. To play it well is another issue...

Another one where I should have trusted my instinct but a solid start to the day!
It might be nothing and just part of a non-linear recovery. Just keep monitoring and trust your instincts.
Oh no totally grim. I guess the main concern is ensuring she doesn't get too dehydrated or have a high fever. I hope it passes quickly.
I get it but doubt fancy books provided by school will shift it. How about saying back page is for doodling or rough work. Front is for neat? Or even alternate pages.
I understand but I'm not sure it's worth the Β£. Is there an expectation that books are used/ useful in the future e.g. for revision? Ultimately I decided it was easier to think of them as workbooks and be less concerned as long as writing was legible.
A tortoiseshell and a ginger kitten are in front of a table with a glass of red wine and a TV showing a Korean historical drama.
Korean historical melodrama and kittens for me. And wine.
I can't see how it would change anything. It's the attitude towards the work that needs to shift. How do you achieve that?
I had non-specialists and slt teaching the other class in my subject. I had to provide explicit lessons with everything they needed to deliver. Actually worked better then when I allowed for more flexibility in some circumstances.
Really lovely
That's a reminder that I've finished 3 books that I need to write up the feedback for!
Because they come with extra regret
I feel the mounting pressure viscerally as I read this - glad it was a mock! And yes the maps please (still remember a lovely lady in Coventry library pulling one out and higighting the route I needed to find my friend's halls and my relief!)
Same - we chose a 2 form primary rather than 1 partly due to feeling it would offer more opportunities. We also chose a slightly larger secondary than we anticipated because we were massively impressed by the staff attitudes and support offered (so far not disappointed)
Size helps but the mechanism is relationships. We know this. Let's not pretend the answer is always the curriculum and the pedagogy.
Title page for "Raising the Floor: Teacher Retention Effects of a Statewide Minimum Salary Increase"
Histograms showing the increase in teacher salaries for beginning teachers and teachers with 5 years of experience. These figures show a large increase in salaries while also showing substantial compression, indicating that pay differentials between districts shrunk.
What happens when you shrink salary differences between districts, increase beginning teacher pay by over $10,000, and compress salary schedules?

Amazing. I hope they are all indulging in some self care too!
They are the most spoilt kitties
