I think I figured out why it bugs me. The show spent 2 seasons showing us a society where any minor infraction is severely punished. Shisui was part of a coup and gets to dance out her emotions then flee to Japan. Meanwhile all her handmaids and staff are going to be executed in her place. Not fair
