This also works with people who remove barriers for others coming behind them. They didn't jump over the barrier, they had to go through it (get bloodied) for the people behind them to have access.
I just started reading "The Tears of Things" by Richard Rohr, and the need for prophets today. He hasn't talked about moral injury yet (maybe he will later in the book) but fascinating to think about what we would gain if we responded to a call for us to recapture prophetic mindset in our world.
