Silksong is not a game to binge play imo. If you take breaks between bosses and let go of the ones that are "too difficult" to just explore and get stronger, it's not even that hard

silksong is base game is much more difficult than the base game of hollow knight

I personally don't mind it because I'm used to it due to the pantheons preparing me but the average person is not a try hard fan of hollow knight

it's actually a bit further I think

You won't need it for the story
It will, however, prepare you for the difficulty

Hollow Knight is easier but not an easy one

It can train you enough so that you'll find it easy but you won't feel like silksong is easy when your done with HK, and you'll probably enjoy it more

silksong is tough

I don't recommend you going through hunter's marsh before finding a crest that makes pogos a lot more forgiving

you don't need to be there to progress

The state of silksong right now reminds me of the Hollow Knight bata(being much more difficult)

Even after release, HK did get patches that made the game more balanced in difficulty

I won't be binging the game and will take my time, and I won't be mad if some patches released in the mean time.
